The North Dakota Chapter of the International Association of Workforce Professionals (IAWP) is a non-profit professional organization. The North Dakota Chapter is part of the IAWP worldwide organization which represents more than 13,000 professionals who have a common interest in workforce systems. IAWP members receive the tools and resources they need to effectively contribute to the workforce development system. By providing relevant education, timely and informative communication and valuable findings of pertinent research, IAWP equips its members with knowledge, information and practical tools for success.

What We Offer

  • Scholarships: Members and their dependents are eligible to apply for college scholarships. Scholarship amounts are based on the number of years you have been a member. The chapter also offers assistance with professional development costs.
  • Training: Lunch n’ Learn sessions are coordinated by chapter members throughout the year. These sessions are offered via Microsoft Teams Meetings. Topics include Workforce Development, Professional and Personal Growth, and Legislative Issues. The chapter also offers an annual educational conference with a wide range of educational topics. Members have access to the Certified Workforce Professional Certification Program.
  • Networking: One conference per year is sponsored by the chapter. This conference is your opportunity to increase your knowledge of the workforce industry, participate in workforce development panels, and meet others in your chosen profession. For a broader networking opportunity there is an annual International Educational Conference sponsored by the International Association. There you will be able to meet others from around the United States as well as around the world.
  • Professional Development: Involvement in a professional organization such as the IAWP shows your current and future employers your initiative in developing, maintaining, and improving your career skills. All members are encouraged to take an active role in planning and participating in leadership opportunities.
